Mission Statement
To equip the next generation with Christ-centered spiritual tools and practical training to live faithfully as true disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
FAITH
We are Christians – sinners saved by God’s grace alone through faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We desire to live by faith and to honor the Lord in every aspect of our lives. Our hope is to reinforce communities where Christians are encouraged and inspired to grow in their daily walk and relationship with the Lord, and to be a testimony to those who do not yet have the eternal hope that we have. Through Christ, may they be drawn to His light in us and come to know Him as their own Lord and Savior.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” —Galatians 2:20
FAMILY
His Workmanship Academy is led by a Christian couple with a small family. As disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, we prioritize family and strive to be Christ-like examples—not only to our children but also to the young men in our care.
Throughout Scripture, God consistently shows us the value He places on family. He reminds us of our responsibility to remember His ways and to pass them on. We are called to teach His Word diligently to our children, and to live as faithful witnesses for Christ—within our homes, in our community, and among the next generation He has entrusted to us.
“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
— Deuteronomy 6:6–7
INTEGRITY
We strive to be a non-profit educational program with integrity — conducting our work with honesty and transparency. God in His grace has given us an extraordinary resource –His very own written Word., By His mercy, He teaches us what is right. With this in mind, we move forward and commit this program and our lives to Him. We take this responsibility seriously and with His help and guidance, we trust that He will prune us, guide us, and cause us to bare fruit for His honor and glory. With His help, we resolve to serve God faithfully—with our hearts, our hands, and our lives..
“Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil.” —Proverbs 4:25-27
EDUCATION
We value education because we’ve seen how it changes lives. Here in Mexico, we often meet individuals facing poverty—many simply longing for someone to walk alongside them with encouragement and practical teaching.
We believe education doesn’t have to be formal to be life-changing. God has laid it on our hearts to create a space where young adults can gain real-life trade skills while being discipled in His Word.
Our desire is to equip them to seek God’s wisdom in every area of life—so they may be thoroughly prepared for every good work.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
— 2 Timothy 3:16–17
Meet the Team
“For we are labourers together with God…”

Born again: November 27, 1997
I was raised in a home that feared God and honored His Word, and from a young age I understood that I was a sinner in need of salvation. At eight years old, after a gospel meeting, a preacher illustrated Romans 6:23 with a simple gift—a pen—to help me understand that salvation is a gift from God, freely offered through Jesus Christ. Though the message stayed with me, I didn’t yet accept it. A few years later, after hearing of a young boy who had drowned near our home, I became deeply troubled about my soul and the reality of eternity.
One night, unable to sleep, I searched the Bible under my covers with a flashlight, desperate to find what I could do to earn salvation. I offered God everything—money, service, even my life—but found no command to earn His gift. Discouraged and broken, I told God I would just have to go to hell because I couldn’t figure out how to be saved. Then He brought to mind the verse: “God wants everyone to be saved and understand the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4), followed by Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God.” In that moment, I finally understood—God wasn’t asking me to do anything, but to trust Him. Jesus had already done it all on the cross. That night, November 27, 1997, I believed and thanked God for the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

When I was eight years old, God opened my eyes to see that I was a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Though I grew up hearing the gospel and learning from faithful teachers, I often believed I could earn God’s approval by being good. Over time, I realized I could never be good enough on my own, and the fear of death and judgment weighed heavily on me. I knew the Bible said that the wages of sin is death and that Jesus had died to offer me the gift of salvation and eternal life. Yet I still struggled—trying to believe hard enough, not realizing I was still depending on myself.
One day, I talked with my mom, and we read verses I had memorized, including John 3:16. She encouraged me to read it with my name in it—“For God so loved Emily…” That simple moment changed everything. I finally saw that salvation wasn’t about trying harder but trusting fully in what Christ had already done. That day, I prayed and asked God to forgive me, and I put my faith in Jesus as my Savior. Peace filled my heart, and I knew without a doubt that God had saved me—not because of anything I had done, but because of His love and promise.

We were commended to the full-time work of the Lord in Mexico in September of 2011 by the assembly that meets in Arlington, WA, USA. Currently, we live in Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit, and continue to be involved in gospel outreach, Bible teaching, children’s work, and Bible studies with the local assembly here, in Tepic (an hour away), and other surrounding areas. In years past, we have been heavily involved in building projects and maintenance for a few assemblies throughout Mexico.
The Lord is forever gracious and we have been encouraged to see the Lord’s hand working in our own lives and in the lives of many others. Please pray for us and the work of the Lord here in Mexico!
We have prayed earnestly about how we can best serve the Lord’s people and with His guidance and direction, over the last four years we have begun to plan for and work towards building a Discipleship and Trades School Program. With the help of the Lord, we hope to invite two to three young Spanish speaking brothers in Christ from around Mexico to live with us for a few months to a year as we disciple them according to Mathew 28:19. We would be involving them in local outreach work, daily Bible study and meditating, and we would give them an opportunity to learn a few trades (welding/fabrication, plumbing, electrical, framing and drywall, concrete work, etc.). With the Lord’s blessing and in His timing, we hope that this school will encourage and ground our young believers in God’s Word; giving them spiritual stability. We also hope that learning a trade will give them some economic stability in their work so that when they return to their homes they can be stable in their jobs, their families and in their local assemblies as well. We trust that the Lord will use them to take the gospel and New Testament doctrine to places we could never reach alone.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”
— Colossians 3:23
