About His Workmanship Academy

We, Jesse and Emily Klein, have prayerfully planned and prepared for His Workmanship Academy since 2017. Over the years, we have had the privilege of coming alongside young Christian men and women to support and encourage their spiritual growth. We have seen firsthand how active and thoughtful discipling and encouraging of young believers in Christ supports the spiritual edification of these youth, the building up of the local church, and the furtherance of His kingdom in gospel and ministry efforts. His Workmanship Academy aims to serve God by serving and guiding those who seek to live out their lives for Him — in all capacities of life. Ministering to others and sharing the gospel to local communities is our regular practice. You can read updates on our progress HERE.

The Why:

Ultimately, we aim to serve Christ and bring honor and glory to Him. To be a disciple of Christ is a fundamental and intimate privilege we have been given as children of God, bought with the blood of Christ. Christ is our Savior, our Guide, and so much more! We endeavor to inspire and encourage daily enjoyment of the Lord in His presence through reading His Word, personal prayer, and meditation learning and practicing practical ways to minister to others, sharing the gospel, and have a good testimony in our community for the Lord. We seek to inspire and radiate Christ to our families, our church gatherings, and our place of employment. We may not be of this world but we must live in it.

How can I help?

Thank you for wanting to support our youth in Christian discipleship and vocational training in Mexico!

There are several ways to get involved! First and foremost, we deeply and sincerely value your prayers! It’s God who guides and gives blessing in His timing and for His glory. We look to Him in prayer for guidance and direction in His will that He has for each of our lives and in the lives of our students. As we collectively pray for this effort in discipling others according to the pattern He has set for us in His Word, may the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and honored. If you would like to support this effort financially, you can learn more by clicking the link below. Thank you!

Our Mission Statement

To equip our youth with spiritually focused God-centered tools to live life well, as a true disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Core Values

FAITH We are Christians – sinners saved by God’s grace alone through faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We desire to live by faith and to honor the Lord in every aspect of our business and lives. Our hope is to build a community where Christians are encouraged and inspired to grow in their daily walk and relationship with the Lord, and to be a testimony to those who do not yet have the eternal hope that we have. Through Christ, may they be drawn to His light in us and come to know Him as their own Lord and Savior.

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

FAMILY His Workmanship Academy is led and taught by a small family who values God’s perspective on family. We make family a priority. As disciples of the Lord Jesus ourselves, we strive to be Christ-like examples to our students. In the BIble, it’s recorded time and time again how God values family and how He instructs and reminds us of our tremendous responsibility to not forget Him and His holy ways; to teach them to our children. We are to be a witness to our children, and that includes the young people He has placed in our care.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).

INTEGRITY We strive to be a non-profit education facility with integrity — conducting our work with honesty and transparency. God in His grace has given us an extraordinary resource — His very own written Word. By His mercy, He teaches us what is right. With this in mind, we move forward and commit this program and our lives to Him. We take this responsibility seriously and with His help and guidance, we trust that He will make us the best we can be for His honor and glory — to serve His people and the world.

“Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil” (Proverbs 4:25-27).

EDUCATION We value education because we’ve seen it change lives for the better. Living here in Mexico, we meet many people in poverty just thirsting for someone to come alongside them; to teach & encourage them. Education comes in many forms and we believe that it doesn’t have to be “formal.” Something that the Lord has laid on our hearts is to provide opportunities for learning and training in a practical way. We have a desire to build a small trade school where we can teach young adults practical life skills and disciple them with a foundation in the Word of God. We hope to inspire and encourage them to seek His wisdom and understanding in every area of their lives — to be “thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
